Town of Thompson, NY – The Town of Thompson is pleased to announce the launch of Thompson Talk, a new citizen notification mobile application powered by GOGov. The app is designed to keep residents informed and connected with timely updates directly from the Town of Thompson.
With Thompson Talk, residents can receive push notifications for:
- Community news and announcements
- Road closures/traffic issues
- Local events and activities
- Service updates and interruptions
- Emergency alerts and other important information
In addition, the app provides quick access to important resources on Thompson’s website!
By utilizing the app platform, the Thompson team can deliver accurate and timely information more efficiently, ensuring that citizens stay informed and engaged.
Another option for receiving alerts is opting into text and/or voice messages by calling or texting: 845-796-9993 or by visiting this page to sign up AND customize your notifications!

The app is free and available now. Scan the above QR code. Or, simply search for “Thompson Talk” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download. Be sure to set up an account, enter your address (if you want address-specific notifications such as those impacting sewer/water in your area), and then enable notifications.
